1) Click on the Start button.
2) Right click “My Computer” and select “Map Network Drive”. (The Map Network Drive dialog box appears).
3) In the Folder combo box, enter the path to the DFS share. For example:
\\go.ece.cmu.edu\dept\user\ece
Optional 4) Check the “Reconnect at logon” check box.
5) If you are connecting from a system that is not a Windows GOECE or Windows ECE domain member, check the “Connect using different credentials” check box.
6) Click the “Finish Button”. If you are a Windows GOECE or Windows ECE domain member a Explorer window will appear with the file share you have connected to . If you are not a domain member a Windows Security dialog box appears and additional steps are required.
a) Enter your GOECE Windows domain user id in the username text box in the following format:
userid@go.ece.cmu.edu
b) Enter your GOECE Windows domain password in the password text box.
c) Check the “Remember my credentials” check box and click OK. (After a few seconds, an Explorer window will appear with the files and folders you are mapping a drive to).
