DreamSpark offers Microsoft professional-level developer and designer tools at no cost! Software downloaded through DreamSpark is identical to the retail versions.
Software from DreamSpark is available to all CMU students, faculty, and staff.
DreamSpark makes available more than 150 software packages including Windows 8, Windows 7, XP, Server 2008 R2, Server 2003, Visual Studio 2012, 2010, Visual Basic 6, Visual C++, C#, .NET, Hyper V, Forefront Client Security, Visio 2010, Project 2010, System Center 2012, and many, many others. The full set of offerings is available for viewing once you login.
Software packages are downloaded as .ISO or .IMG files. A few packages can be delivered via mail by selecting the Mail Order option and paying a small fee.
CMU students, faculty, and staff sign in by clicking the Single Sign-ON button and authenticate using their Andrew username and password.
